Build Your First Structural Engineering App in 2 Hours with AI
A hands-on session for structural engineers who want to automate repetitive calculations, reports, and design workflows.
What you'll build
We build a portal frame app together, live. The frame is just the example — the workflow behind it is the same one you'd use for any calculation you repeat on every project.
-
Step 1
Set up
Start from an empty project in your browser. Nothing to install, and no programming experience needed — every step is guided.
-
Step 2
Geometry inputs
Add the inputs that drive the frame — spans, heights, sections — so anyone can change the design without touching the code.
-
Step 3
A live model
Wire those inputs to a frame model that solves and redraws itself every time a number changes.
-
Step 4
Member checks
Run the member checks against the model and show what passes, what fails, and by how much.
-
Step 5
Report and drawings
Generate the calculation report and the engineering drawings out of the same model, so they can never fall out of sync.
-
Step 6
Deploy it
Publish the app and get a link you can send to a colleague before the session ends.
You leave with a deployed app, the recording, and the workflow to build the next one on your own. If it wasn't useful, I'll refund you.
